Position

The Queen likes bright, warm areas – but out of direct sunlight and not too warm and not too cold – it’s a tropical monarch. Placing it by a south-facing window (indoor or out) is a good idea.

Watering

Water often in the summer, but cut it back to fortnightly as the weather cools. A water tray will help keep things humid.

Care

Balanced care is essential to keeping the Night Blooming Cactus on the throne. But if you get it right, watching it bloom after dark makes it all worth it.

Also known as

Queen of the night, princess of the night, Honolulu queen (for Hylocereus undatus), Christ in the manger, Dama de noche.
